Front Line Demonstration of Paddy Drum Seeder (8 Row) under Well Irrigated Rice in Nalgonda District, Telangana

Front line demonstration was conducted on drum seeding technology the farmers, assessment of seeder implement done with assistance Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar, Nalgonda under Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, for consequently three years during Kharif, from 2018-19 to 2020-21. The comparison made between and manual transplanting an objective reduction cost cultivation subsequently increase farmer’s net returns. Frontline Demonstrations revealed that, there were more number tillers (395) panicles (370)/m2 in direct seeded compared practice (365 346/ m2). Drum influence plant height (68.2cm), tillers/m2 yield attributes viz., Number m-2 (370), length panicle (16.9 cm) grains / (182). Direct has recorded higher grain (6,512 kg ha-1) which 6.4 per cent over (6,094 a saving Rs. 8,990/- ha-1. Gross returns (Rs.1, 20,795and 69, 265/ha) by method 13,036/ha 52, 516/ha).
